The website offers information on honorable projects, organizations, and events advocating peace and solidarity.

NFT Art on the War in Ukraine

SQUARE, Noon - 2pm

The St.Gallen Symposium is organising a workshop with the artist Raphael Dudler, in which those interested can actively participate in the creation of a new NFT series. The thematic focus is on the Ukraine conflict. The series will be presented at the subsequent vernissage on 17 March at SQUARE and will be available for purchase. The profits from this will be donated to a Ukrainian charity.

Ways out of the war in Ukraine?

After more than two weeks, there is no end in sight to Russia's aggression in Ukraine. Continued or even escalated fighting could lead to a humanitarian catastrophe. Meanwhile a solution can only be reached, if all sides make concessions. By Andreas Böhm.

HSG Alumni organised a St.Gallen Community Workshop about «How can we help the Ukrainian refugees» together with the European Nations’ Society, HEKS, Russian Union, Social Business Club and Youth Engagement. After an input speech by City Councillor Sonja Lüthi, you can join your preferred discussion group about one of the following topics:

• How to integrate in Switzerland
• How to welcome refugees in St. Gallen
• How to help refugees in Poland
• How to support HSG students who are directly affected
• How to coordinate the operations in an effective way

The war in Ukraine and the impact on energy policy

The crisis in the Ukraine, with Russian forces threatening Ukranian nuclear plants and the drastic change in oil and gas prices has people wondering what effect this could have on the energy transition. We spoke with Rolf Wüstenhagen.

Sanctions may work but only if they convince Russia to stop the war very soon. Otherwise they might turn to be devastating and creating even more victims than the war itself, especially for countries in North Africa.

St.Gallen Helps Ukraine

"St.Gallen Helps Ukraine" is an official cooperation partner of the Ukrainian Embassy and the Ukrainian-Swiss Business Association. We provide a warehouse in St.Gallen where we collect and sort donations in kind and then hand them over to the Embassy for transport to Ukraine. Thanks to consular protection, the donations in kind arrive where they are needed most.

Emilia von Albertini and Frederick Mangold started the initiative and then officially founded the association "St.Gallen Helps Ukraine" together with Noé Romeo Kuhn, Oliver Meyer and Alisa Nyamukapa.

Several tons of humanitarian aid have already arrived in Ukraine. At Güterbahnhofstrasse 8 in 9000 St. Gallen, baby food, durable food, medicine and electronics continue to be collected from private individuals and companies.

Solidarity with Ukraine - Donation for Swiss Solidarity

From 21-25 March, the Mensa treats its guests to an Eastern European-inspired dish. The price of this special dish includes a donation surcharge of CHF 1.00. At the end of the week, the university management doubles the menu solidarity contribution from self-generated funds. The entire donation proceeds will go to Swiss Solidarity, which, together with its partner organiza-tions, provides humanitarian aid on the ground in Ukraine.
